Peter Shuey – Director
Peter is Executive Director of Australian CO2 Exchange. He was instrumental in establishing the ‘decoupled’ GreenPower industry and has advised numerous organisations on GHG policy development and management. He has been active in advising both government and non-government agencies on accountability in the area of GreenPower, carbon offsetting, GHG reporting and corporate environmental claims.
Peter is Secretary and Director of the Voluntary Carbon Markets Association (VCMA) and chairs its technical committee. He currently advises on course development, acts as a guest lecturer in the Carbon Accounting course and chairs the steering committee for the Diploma of Carbon Management at the National Centre for Sustainability - Swinburne University.
Peter has a background in broadcast engineering and aviation where he worked for ten years as a commercial airline pilot. He has also worked in investment banking in property and commercial property development.
Peter holds a Masters of Business Administration from Monash University and has undertaken numerous other post graduate studies in Sustainable Development, Development Economics and Energy Markets.
Tony has a background in engineering, technology, and management spanning the UK, Asia and Australia. Before taking up consulting Tony was Vice President (I.T.) of Time Warner based in Hong Kong.
He began consulting in carbon/energy management in 2006, with a specialisation in ICT. His clients have included a number of large Australian law firms and NGOs. He recently completed a two year contract at Swinburne’s National Centre for Sustainability as a project manager and co-ordinator/developer of their carbon courses. Tony now divides his time between his consulting work at ACXargyle and lecturing in Carbon Accounting and Carbon Management at the National Centre for Sustainability - Swinburne University.
Gill Coleman – Senior Consultant –
Energy and Change Management
Gill is senior associate of ACXargyle. She worked for Shell Group in several different positions, including Project Analyst, Business Analyst, Lubricant and Fuels Engineer, Development Officer and Marketing Officer. She has had extensive experience of producing high-stake reports in the Oil, Coal and Gas fields.
Gill has been involved in extensive work for the community through counselling support groups and is a school councillor and Governor of the Healthy Lifestyle Committee.
Gill has a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering (Honours) from the University of Melbourne and has completed various other qualifications including a Diploma of Carbon Management and a Carbon Accounting course at Swinburne University of Technology, and is currently finishing a Masters of Environment at the University of Melbourne.
Gemma McGrory – Project Manager
Gemma is an engineer with experience in electronics and I.T.systems with the UK government. She has worked extensively as an academic and lecturer in both the UK and Australia. She has a BEng (honours) Electronic Engineering from Durham University and completed post graduate studies at Sunderland University. She is currently completing her MSc.
More recently Gemma has been involved with energy markets, energy efficiency, carbon management and environmental life cycle analysis within the building and construction industry. Gemma manages ACXargyle’s ESD toolkit and materials research project.
